Information Literacy training events: January & February 2007
The Higher Education library sector in Wales submitted a successful grant appliciation for £3000 for Information Literacy activities for 06/07 as part of the Reader Development / Information Literacy grant scheme via Strand 3 of CyMAL’s @ Your Library Programme. The planned activities were informed by feedback from Wales Higher Education Libraries Forum (WHELF) librarians and WHISD members (Staff Development group for WHELF members).
The grant was spent on 4 Information Literacy workshops delivered by 2 external trainers in North, Mid and South Wales locations during January and February 2007. The events were offered free of charge and were attended by 86 HE and NHS librarians in Wales.
