CROESO
CROESO allows students registered on higher education courses in Wales to gain access, without charge and throughout the year, to the buildings and collections of the libraries of other HE institutions in Wales.
The libraries belonging to the scheme are:
- Aberystwyth University
- Bangor University
- Cardiff University
- North East Wales Institute, Wrexham
- Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Cardiff
- Swansea Metropolitan University
- Swansea University
- Trinity College Carmarthen
- University of Glamorgan
- University of Wales, Lampeter
- University of Wales, Newport
- University of Wales Institute, Cardiff
The scheme is open to all non-research students (for research student and staff access see the SCONUL Access scheme details).
Individuals joining the scheme are entitled to:
- have access to most material for study and consultation in the host library within normal working hours.
- receive basic information and guidance in the use of the library e.g. location and directional information.
- to have access to a variety of charged ancillary services, e.g. photocopying.
CROESO does not entitle members to:
- borrow material from the host library.
- use campus computer networks, or the software tools and electronic information services available through them unless with the permission of the host library.
Students wishing to make use of the scheme should show their institutional ID card at the entrance of the library to which they wish to gain access.
